The types of cancer that affect children are different from those that affect teenagers and adults. A specialised branch of medicine (paediatric oncology) has made great advances in the past few decades, but treatment can be extremely costly, therefore the ability to get access to that level of specialist treatment is often difficult and very expensive. We work alongside local groups and medical bodies to offer specialist services to those in need.
This branch of the Big Heart Foundation focuses on projects relating to children who are affected by cancer outside of the UAE. We will provide a range of services, including taking care of the medical fees and anything related to supporting refugee children affected by the disease.
