Palestine – About

palestine

UNRWA estimates that there are more than 5 million refugees of Palestinian origin, with over one third (1.5 million) living in recognised refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank*. One of the many detrimental results of the years of conflict, violence and political uncertainty is a lack of infrastructure, which, in turn, affects the education offered to the children living there.

Working alongside groups such as Oxfam, the Welfare Association and St. John Hospital, The Big Heart Foundation provides education, food aid and health support to millions of people affected by the brutal and ongoing conflict.
