Strengthening Access to Education for Syrian Refugee Children in Egypt

The Big Heart Foundation funded the refurbishment of five targeted schools, as well as expansion costs for three out of four targeted schools – adding a total of 50 classes. Within the three schools that were expanded, additional spaces were created for approximately 3,160 new students. The implementation of the project reduced overcrowding, bringing the number of students per classroom down to 60.
