Project: Supporting Meals Program for underprivileged students
Implementing Partner: Al Ihsan Kattipara
Geographic location: Kerala – India
Budget: AED 256,500 – USD 69,835
Beneficiaries: 200 students
Timeframe: September 2020 – June 2021

The Big Heart Foundation in collaboration with Al Ihsan Kattipara provided three meals per day for underprivileged boarding school students for one academic year to reduce absence level of students because of lack of food and encourage them to attend school. Indirectly, the program is providing jobs by hiring underprivileged chefs in the community who cook the meals internally for the students.
