The Big Heart Campaign donates 1 million $ in the World Refugee Day

Under the direction of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah,UNHCR Eminent Advocate for Refugee Children, The Big Heart Campaign donates 1 million $ for the help of refugees in the World Refugee Day, organized by the High Commission under the theme of “One family torn apart by war is too many”.
The role of the campaign focuses on providing safety lives for the refugee and filling their different needs. It was decided that this amount of money is allocated for the support of education, in addition to professional support for the refugees.
Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi thanks who contributes in the successful of the campaign through achieving humanitarian mission and helping the refugees over the past year.
She said, “Nobody chooses to be a refugee, but our supporters have chosen to step into the refugee children’s lives and become mothers to the motherless, fathers to the fatherless and hope to the hopeless. Because of you, these children will no longer just be forgotten statistics, but grow into strong adults with strong dreams. The Syrian crisis is not just a Syrian problem, but a challenge for all humankind to prove our humanity.”
“On World Refugee Day, I call on the international community to intensify efforts to prevent and resolve conflicts, and to help achieve peace and security so that families can be reunited and refugees can return home”, UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon said.
The Big Heart Campaign participates in the World Refugee Day after one year of its startingwhere it contributed in that period to the reduction of suffering and pain of Syrian refugee children. This comes from the participation of a large number of people in the campaign around the world to help the refugees with what they can.
The Campaign continues helping the Syrian refugees in Al Za’atri Camp in Jordan where more than 600 refugees get treatments in a day by the Big Heart Clinic, and about 40,000 babies are born as refugees. Theclinic provides different treatments for the refugees facing reproductive health services, post-natal care and more.
People in the UAE Community and in the Middle East concern about helping the refugees by participating in the Big Heart Campaign and donation where they can make a change in their lives.
The world Refugee Day is observed in the 20th of June every year, which comes to raise awareness about the refugees and their situations all over the world with the help of the Big Heart Campaign and the UNHCR.
