Gaza

Last year, The Big Heart Foundation launched the For Gaza campaign.

Through collective efforts and shared solidarity, the campaign delivered sustainable care to more than 555 orphaned children in Gaza. As life in Gaza continues under immense strain, many children face additional challenges that affect their daily lives. More than 1,000 children living with limb amputations are navigating ongoing physical and emotional hardship while awaiting access to prosthetic limbs, assistive devices, and the rehabilitation support they need to move, learn, and grow with dignity.

In partnership with Taawon, The Big Heart Foundation continues the ‘For Gaza’ campaign through a comprehensive care programme supporting children with limb amputations. The programme provides custom prosthetic limbs, assistive devices, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support under a three-year commitment, with ongoing follow-up that responds to each child’s growth and evolving needs until the age of 18. Through the TBHF donation platforms and YallaGive, individuals, government entities, and private institutions are invited to join our fundraising efforts, or create their own fundraisers, to support as many children who require such rehabilitation services as we are able to.

With continued collective support, children with limb amputations in Gaza can regain mobility and take meaningful steps toward recovery and a life lived with dignity.
